ELECTIONS IN TALLER II

Yesterday the elections of representatives of Taller II for the School Council took place. The candidates presented their speeches with ideas and proposals and then each student of Workshop II Aire and Fuego deposited his or her vote anonymously in the ballot box. In this way, we also lived the values of democracy at school.

ELECCIONES EN TALLER II

Ayer se realizaron las elecciones de representantes de Taller II para el Consejo Escolar. Las y los candidatos presentaron sus discursos con ideas y propuestas y luego cada estudiante de Taller II Aire y Fuego depositó su voto anónimo en la urna. Así, vivimos también en la escuela los valores de la democracia.

COMPOST INITIATIVE

We are happy to tell you that our school will join the GECO Biowaste initiative, promoted by the ALSORE Foundation. This community composting project aims to raise awareness of the importance of the value of the material cycle. The training of the CIMM team will take place during the first week of November and then the workshops will begin in the environments.

INICIATIVA DE COMPOSTAJE

Nos alegra contaros que nuestra escuela se sumará a la iniciativa GECO Biorresiduos, impulsada por la Fundación ALSORE. Este proyecto de compostaje comunitario tiene como objetivo tomar conciencia de la importancia del valor del ciclo de la materia. La formación del equipo CIMM se realizará la primera semana de noviembre y luego comenzarán los talleres en los ambientes.

VISIT FROM VIENNA

This week Adolescents Community received Monika, a guide from the Montessori Galemo School in Vienna. The purpose of this meeting was to learn more about both schools in order to prepare for the visit we will receive in spring by a group of high school students from her school. This initiative is part of the Erasmus program.

VISITA DE VIENA

Esta semana Comunidad de Adolescentes recibió a Monika, guía de la escuela Montessori Galemo, de Viena. El objetivo de este encuentro fue conocer más sobre ambos centros para preparar la visita que recibiremos en primavera por parte de un grupo de estudiantes de la secundaria de su escuela. Esta iniciativa forma parte del programa Erasmus.

REMEMBER THE DATES OF THE PEDAGOGICAL MEETINGS

Next week we will have the first pedagogical meetings of the course for all the environments. Your participation is very important! We remind you here the dates:
Infant Community and secondary: Monday 20th
Luna and Sol Children's Houses: Tuesday 21 st
Taller I Agua and Tierra: Wednesday 22nd
Taller II Aire and Fuego: Thursday 23rd
All meetings are from 17:30 to 19:30 hrs.

Childcare service will be available for those who require it, the application form is available at One Spot.

INTERNSHIP STUDENT AT CASA DE NIÑOS

We are happy to welcome María to our school community. She is a student of Early Childhood Education at the University of Malaga, who is doing an internship at Casa de Niños until February.
We hope it will be a great experience!

On November 20, the first School Council meeting of the 2025/2026 school year will be held. The family representatives on the School Council will act as spokespersons at the meeting presenting the opinions and proposals of the families.

WORKSHOP FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS

This workshop, conducted by our counselor Elisabet Garcia, will address in three sessions various skills controlled by executive functions, such as attention, processing speed, working memory and inhibition and behavioral planning. The registration form is available at One Spot.

HOMEMADE BREAD FROM ADOLESCENT COMMUNITY

Our students from secondary have started a project inspired by their bread-making activity. After experimenting with different ingredients, they now plan to sell their bread to the CIMM team as a small group business. This initiative helps them apply what they learn in real-life contexts, making their studies more meaningful and rewarding.

PAN CASERO DE COMUNIDAD DE ADOLESCENTES

Nuestro alumnado de secundaria ha iniciado un proyecto inspirado en su actividad de hacer pan. Tras experimentar con distintos ingredientes, ahora planean vender su pan al equipo del CIMM como un microemprendimiento. Esta iniciativa les ayuda a aplicar lo que aprenden en contextos reales, haciendo que sus estudios sean más significativos y gratificantes.

THE LIBRARY AWAITS YOU

Starting Monday, October 6th, our library Ciudad del Paraiso will be open to receive children so that they can take books home. We invite families to share their love for reading and create opportunities to read together.
In addition, we remind you that donations of books for children and young adults are always welcome, we build the library as a community!

LA BIBLIOTECA TE ESPERA

A partir del lunes 06 de octubre nuestra biblioteca Ciudad del Paraiso estará funcionando para recibir a los ambientes y que niñas y niños puedan llevar libros a casa. Invitamos a las familias a compartir el gusto por la lectura y crear espacios para leer en conjunto. Además, os recordamos que siempre son bienvenidas las donaciones de libros de literatura infantil y juvenil, ¡la biblioteca la construimos en comunidad!

SCHOOL ADAPTATION IN THE FIRST STAGES

At CIMM we work for an adaptation process that always goes at the child's pace, and we pay special attention to the emotional aspects of this process. Since we have the lowest ratio, one of the guides has the possibility of being one on one with the children during the first days of adaptation and can attend to the emotional aspects with much more presence. To facilitate the bonding, the family also participates in Comunidad Infantil during the first days of the process. We are happy to be part of this important stage of life and we approach it with respect and affection.

ADAPTACIÓN ESCOLAR EN LA ETAPA INFANTIL

En el CIMM trabajamos por un proceso de adaptación que vaya siempre al ritmo del niño o niña, y atendemos con especial atención los aspectos emocionales de este proceso. Al tener la ratio más baja, una de las guías tiene la posibilidad de estar de uno a uno con los niños durante los primeros días de adaptación y se puede atender lo emocional con mucha más presencia. Para facilitar el vínculo, en Comunidad Infantil también participa la familia en los primeros días del proceso. Nos alegra ser parte de esta etapa tan importante de la vida y la abordamos con respeto y cariño.

Ayelen, who was a student at CIMM since the beginning of the school in La Noria, visited our school yesterday. It was very nice to talk with her and to know how her life experience has been in the last years, thank you Ayelen for such a nice surprise!

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ARE STARTING!

Wednesday, October 1 will be the start of extracurricular activities for all stages of the school. Remember that if you need to hire the lunchroom service, the form is available through the One Spot app.

El miércoles 1 de octubre será el comienzo de las actividades extraescolares para todas las etapas de la escuela. Recuerda que si necesitas contratar el servicio de comedor, el formulario está disponible a través de la app One Spot.

GREAT LESSON: BIG BANG

Through a presentation full of creativity and interactive elements, Taller II students experienced the different stages of the Big Bang and were able to learn more about the expansion of the universe.

GRAN LECCIÓN: BIG BANG

A través de una presentación llena de creatividad y elementos interactivos, estudiantes de Taller II vivieron las diferentes etapas del Big Bang y pudieron aprender más sobre la expansión del universo.

ADOLESCENT COMMUNITY FIELD TRIP

The CIMM secondary class kicked off the school year with a three-day trip designed to strengthen bonds, teamwork and develop skills and autonomy in the students. The accommodation was in a farmhouse in the Genal Valley, where they cooked and organized group activities, as well as practicing a day of canyoning in the Sima del Diablo.

EXCURSIÓN COMUNIDAD DE ADOLESCENTES

La secundaria del CIMM dio inicio al año escolar con un viaje de tres días pensado para fortalecer lazos, trabajar en equipo y desarrollar habilidades y autonomía en las y los estudiantes. El alojamiento fue en un cortijo en el Valle del Genal, donde cocinaron y organizaron actividades grupales, además de practicar una jornada de barranquismo en la Sima del Diablo.
