EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
Children grow by working and therefore work increases their strength.
María Montessori

Maria Montessori considers education as a way to help us to live life, that is, to help us to be, to become complete human beings, so that tomorrow we can build a complete society.
Our pedagogical model, based on Dr. Montessori's, shows us that education is a natural process that the individual undertakes spontaneously and that is not the result of hearing words, but is based on the experience provided by experimental contact with our surroundings. Having a prepared environment in Montessori education is the key to revealing the child's full potential. It is the base from which we must start to be able to say that we follow Montessori philosophy and pedagogy, with the depth that each of these words entail. The secret of the child's freedom consists in organizing the necessary means for his internal development for them, within an organized environment, where the child's personality begins to organize itself and reveal its characteristics. |
THE ROLE OF THE ADULT AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT Therefore our task as an adult, as a guide, is to prepare the environment on several levels, both visible and not so visible, psychic and physical. To do this, the guide must have an excellent scientific preparation and must also set the mysticism for each child's level. The guide must also possess a refined spiritual grounding, thus being able to observe beyond the apparent and offer the appropriate guides for the needs of each child according to his or her level of development. In our school we believe that the preparation of the adult in his or her human development is the most important principle of the Montessori Philosophy, since it will be that human being who must show the children the beauty of harmony and love for life. |

I'd LIKE TO KNOW MORE
In this prepared environment, with the trained adult and the developmental materials that offer children the opportunity to teach themselves, children happily learn by actively involving their hands and senses. Each child progresses at their own pace within mixed-age groups. These differences honour the community and help build it, creating a homely atmosphere of mutual trust. This guarantees and favours learning and well-being, where the youngest are motivated to move forward by seeing older children, who in turn reinforce their own learning by helping the youngest. In this way, they become passionate learners as they go into their subject of interest in-depth, reaching and experiencing the mastery of a skill or concept. They are also mentors when they apply their knowledge through giving presentations, teaching others how to use their skills in creative and challenging real-life situations. Children grow up experiencing life and school. In this way they become confident citizens, conscious of human relationships and their emotional management, with a sense of responsibility towards themselves and others, joyfully taking on board the learning that life brings with it.
