Psychomotricity plays a fundamental role in the integral development of girls and boys. During sessions, we focus on the development of motor skills through activities that promote coordination, balance, motor skills, and posture. This approach is not only limited to the physical aspect but is also closely related to the cognitive, as through activities that require following instructions or solving problems, children develop thinking skills.
Additionally, sessions also address the emotional and social aspects; through play and cooperation, they learn to relate to others and regulate their emotions, which contributes to their self-esteem and confidence.
In the creative realm, we use motor stories or dance to stimulate imagination and creativity. Thus, psychomotricity becomes a valuable tool for their holistic growth.
We foster a cooperative and non-competitive approach to sports practice, consistent with the rest of the Montessori pedagogy, as well as the acquisition and promotion of healthy lifestyle habits.
